Product: The end product will be a debate that will be recorded and put out on our American Revolution Website. Each student will also be asked to upload his/her article and letter to our website. The product will be meaningful because the student gets to take the role of a Loyalist or Patriot. He/She will be able to get involved in their role by debating their side of the American Revolution. The product will be assessed throughout the project. First the news article as well as letter will be assessed using a rubric. The debate will also be assessed using a rubric. They will then be assigned a class within our school. They will ask the class to watch the video. They will then survey the class with: Who won the debate? And which side would you be on? Loyalist or Patriots. This information will be put into a graph. We will then compile everyone’s information to decide which side won the debate.
